Firmly oppose cruelty in the name of justice.

I saw a news reports a series of discussions and actions sparked by an incident in which a child in Sichuan was bitten by a vicious dog.

The incident led to strong criticism and condemnation of dogs online, including calls for banning dog ownership and ridicule of dog lovers. Some residential communities even formed teams to catch and contain stray animals.

In Chongqing, a university security guard caused the death of a stray dog while trying to drive it away, triggering controversy and criticism. The article points out that although there are laws to regulate dog ownership, enforcement is lacking, leading to frequent instances of irresponsible dog ownership and increased safety risks.

Additionally, there has been some unfriendly rhetoric and tendencies towards animal cruelty, drawing attention and criticism.

The article concludes by urging for the establishment of a consensus on responsible dog ownership and opposing blanket bans, emphasizing the importance of protecting animals.

Personally,  I want to protect those homeless dog, at least keep them in the shelter rather than cruelty killed them in the name of justice!

In this painting, I like to depict the feeling of protecting cute dogs. So, I used a stitched-up dog-shaped figure as the main subject in the center of the painting, with iron wires securing it into the shape of a heart.

I left the heart part intact, emphasizing its shape.

Around the main figure, I would add ceramic representations of other animals, such as spoon-shaped cats and water bottles with dog patterns.

I used a combination of warm and cool colors to suggest different situations.
